Rules

The game

1. Before each episode, pick one castaway you think will still be in the game when that episode ends. They only have to survive that one episode, not the season.
2. If your castaway leaves the game that episode, your torch is snuffed and you are out.
3. You can pick each castaway only once all season, so safe picks run out.
4. The last player with a lit torch wins the league.

When picks are due

• Picks lock the moment the episode starts on the East Coast: Wednesdays at 8:00 PM Eastern, 7:00 PM Central.
• You can change your pick as often as you like until then.
• Nobody can see your pick until the lock. After that, every pick in the league is visible.
• The next week opens as soon as results are posted, usually the same night.

If you forget to pick

You are given the first castaway alphabetically that you have not used and who is still in the game. It counts as a real pick: it can knock you out, and that castaway is spent.

What counts as leaving the game

• Voted out, medically evacuated, quit, or removed. Any exit counts.
• If two castaways leave in one episode, picking either one knocks you out.
• If nobody leaves, everyone survives, but the castaway you picked is still spent.
• Exile, a lost vote, or a tribe swap does not count. They have to be out of the game.
• In the finale, only the Sole Survivor counts as surviving.

Edge cases

• If an episode would knock out every player left in the league, nobody is out that week and the game continues.
• If you have picked every castaway still in the game, your list resets and you may reuse them.
• If more than one player survives the finale, they share the win.

Joining and spoilers

• Leagues close to new players when episode 1 locks, unless the commissioner allows late joins.
• After results are posted, standings, picks, and the Contestants tab stay hidden on each of your devices until you confirm you have watched that episode. There is no time limit, so watching a few days late is safe.
• The Rules tab never shows who went home.
